April 7th, 2013 [Sunday]
haven’t been posting on outfit in a while. so here’s a quick post before i hit the sack. stupid Monday is here again 🙁
you know i am never the jump-straight-on-bandwagon kinda girl. especially for fashion. because what suits you might not suit me well, as i am slightly curvy. normally what i’ll do is, observe the trend for few weeks/months. and if it’s still in-trend after few weeks/months, then i’ll succumb.
when peplum was a hit last season, i know it’s definitely not my thing! as it accentuate the butt area. i mean mine is huge and attractive enough i don’t need something to draw attention to the body part that i feel insecure with :(.
i must compliment on their service! the personnel from from Whitesoot (Estee) was super friendly and accommodating and super efficient. placed my order today and received the dress the next day!
i’m sure you have heard about Whitesoot the online shopping boutique right? in case you haven’t, here’s an introduction…
A premier online shopping store in Malaysia with a special mission, Whitesoot was created to bring “fashion round the clock” to glam up the daily grind of life. Inspired by fashion bloggers, runways and everyday fashionistas on the street, our online apparel shop features designs that are lovingly hand-picked for not only style and quality, but also practicality and affordability. At Whitesoot, we believe you can shop for women’s clothes online without spending a fortune!
when Estee offers me an outfit, so coincidently it’s Jacgy’s wedding that weekend (which just ended today) and i hadn’t find anything to wear yet then.
i had few dresses in mind and i showed them to BlabberBee, seek her opinion on this (red-it’s fierce with studsss), this (blue – nearly get this but i don’t quite like the mesh part), this (black), this (BlabberBee said this one looks mature), and this (i was leaning towards this, playing safe)!
but then i really wanted to challenge peplum la, so i searched “peplum” on Whitesoot! and found this ↓ 😀
“YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST SHOWN ME THIS LA! WASTING MY TIME!”, yelled BlabberBee. :/
it’s a “so-me” dress she claimed.
i wasn’t sure about this dress at first, and i expressed my concern (butt area) to Estee, she encouraged me to get it because the peplum part is a lil’ asymmetrical, curved up towards the side.
i am glad that i trusted her!
here’s a frontal view of the dress. i’m keeping it simple with dress + watch + statement necklace + heels + bag.
i do look good in it, yeah?
this peplum dress is made of cotton and it’s those thick type of cotton, super comfy to wear in!
it actually enhances my curve and i felt confident in this dress! 🙂 well i am gradually embracing my curve since i can’t really get rid off it anytime soon.
here’s the accessories i paired the peplum dress with!
leopard print is also another my-thing. i just simply LOVE prints. and my boyfie knew me so well that he got me these lovely heels! <3
but it’s so high that i only wear them for dinner when not muchy walking is required!
this is also another lovely gift from him.
