after hearing and seeing so muchy about macarons, i finally got to really devour one(s)! thanks to the boyf <3! seriously if i were to pay muself, thanks but no thanks. one tiny biji almost cost the same as a plate of chap fan okie! *kiamsiap*
there’s altogether 8 flavours to choose from…
TWG is famous for its EXTENSIVE tea selection! i nudged the boyf to bring us here for afternoon tea one lovely fine day!
the finest tea of the world, it says.
we bought a box of six. i didn’t know which to pick, so i told the staff to choose the six best-sellers. and they were encased in an exquisite mustard box.
just in case you didn’t know, Italy is the birthplace of macaron!
left – right (RM 4 each):
Lemon Bush Tea,
Napoleon Tea & Caramel,
Camelot Tea & Praline, ,
Grand Wedding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut,
Earl Grey & Chocolate
Bain de Rose Tea
as you can
see read, their macarons are all infused with their in-house tea. that’s what make TWG’s macarons stand out from the rest.
i was holding Grand Wedding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut
my first bite of macaron was :O. so this is macaron ar…
the shells were crisp yet not crumbly, while the inside was chewy and moist, it almost melted in my mouth <3. the tea fragrance was subtle, not too overpowering to my liking. only if they were done with less sugar, it would be perfect. i don’t like my dessert overly sweet.
i really likey the slight sourness in Grand Wedding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut. and Napoleon Tea & Caramel work amazingly well together, to my surprise! i heard the Bain de Rose Tea was good too (boyf’s sis had it)!
i will definitely be back to TWG again! for their afternoon tea set and macarons, of course!
