*another repost from the past
Ingolf has been on my to-dine list for the longest time. my friends always tell me how good is their sausages! but they never bring me along. pfft.
PK’s sis was in town early this month (way back to last December!). and she planned to bring her sis to dine at this German Restaurant and then stroll along the beach nearby after that. i we shamelessly tagged ourselves along haha. reservation is berry muchy needed.
up-close shot of the signage.
it’s located quite a journey from where we stayed and the fact that it’s raining meow and woof didn’t help at all. we were stuck in the massive jam for at least 45 minutes bloody hell. by the time we reached, it’s almost 9pm.
apparently penangites dine late. this pic was taken right before we left. it’s around 10+pm. people were still eating.
we were seated at upstairs, it’s less crowded. the ambiance is quite cozy and perfect for gathering where you can have food and drink AND talk at the same time.
there’s also a bar up here. it’s a weekday, that’s why not many people were drinking.
PK (right) and her sis. do they look alike? haha
LC and CV, my fellow labmates.
all of us ordered (less) Iced Lemon Tea | RM 3.80
CL & i shared a plate of this and PK & her sis ordered this to share too. this picture doesn’t do justice to how GINORMOUS this plate was, i must add.
look at CL expression! i was faking it so that i look good in picha. ehehehehehe. but in my head, i was thinking how on the hell are we gonna wallop this up???
there’s chicken-, country- and porksausage, porkbelly, nuernbergers and chipolatas, grilled turkeybacon, ham, porkchop, porkpatties AND chickenmeatloaf serves with sauerkraut, crispy criss cut potatoes, onion sauce and mustard.
even typing these make me feel stuffed. this’s too muchy for two lasses who CAN really eat. we couldn’t finish it and have to outsource from LC and CV seimou. i think it can be shared among three person. the porkbelly was nice but the skin was a tad, i donno, sticky? it adhered to my inner cheek =.= . the patties were a tad hard, the ham and bacon were yum! processed meat was a tad salty for our liking.
LC and CV had this which consists of porkchop, beef tenderloin, lambchop, baconrasher and chipolatas
and every plate is garnished with some green which is great to balance out the meatiness LOL. sorry for the blurry pic, all of us was famished, and i was paiseh to keep them waiting. so i faititly snap one then feasted on.
this german meal was totally different from what i had in KL. last time we had fish and duck, this time around, we had all kinds of meat. i think i will still go back for their sausages. my friends said, the sausages are normally yummo but donnowhy that day they weren’t so. it’s okay, i shall give them another chance. so who’s with me on the next trip? and hor, no service tax is applied! *cheapo*
