May 2nd, 2013 [Thursday]
some of you might have known that i’m in Sibu NOW! yeah updating AntzWorLd live! yay!
i forced myself doing it cos i know too well, it’s now (i blog it) or never :/
it’s my first time boarding a plane myself (i think)! ya la, after living for 2x years of my life =.=
it’s all good. plane departed before time. reach earlier than ETA. nice. good omen for this adventure 😀
i was amazed at how Sibu airport changed so drastically! last time it’s like a run down bus terminal =.=
and then Arthur came and picked me up and we had brekkie & lunchy together! first stop was …
Rasa Sayang Cafe @ Lorong Pahlawan 7B

first thing when i touched down Sibu, was to savour a good kampua!

together with some pian sip (which i didn’t ask the price) …
Arthur had this mee poke!

according to STP (sorry i still prefer STP over Arthur :P), this is ze best kampua in Sibu!
i surely enjoyed it. both the mee and char siew was good! hasn’t had kampua since i left Sarawak 3 years ago! and i love that it’s full of lard, i mean that’s the essence of a good kampua! removing the lard from kampus is like a walking dead, human without soul!
yes, of course it’s oily! but i flew all the way here already, certainly don’t mind the extra calories. eat now exercise later 😀 that’s my philosophy during traveling! 😀
thank you to STP for picking me up from the airport and bring me to Kampua & Sarawak Laksa ↓! and also drove me to Forgotwhat Mall to buy some stuffs to be brought home! it’s really nice to meet you again!
and then after buying some stuffs we headed to
Thomson Corner @ Jalan Pedada
STP had this Ang Dao Peng while i sip on sky juice. my stomach wasn’t feeling well in the morning…so i thought it’s better to skip icy drink. but i completely forgot about my yummy after that =.=
STP and i have something in common, which is, we only take red bean sans cendol! yay *high five* but he loves spring onion and parsley *take back my five* 😛
SARAWAK LAKSA BAYBEH! i have missed chu too muchy <3 <3 <3
the broth was really thick and creamy (scream unhealthy but hecks care!) and was sooooo yummy. the liao (ingredient) was generous as well!
but ar, SX plans to bring me to her favourite Sarawak Laksa tomorrow. so i’ll compare the both tomorrow ar!
STP said that the sui kao (dumpling) here was good too! so ngam they were preparing it. and i asked for permission to snap, they said ABUUUUUUUU.
i snapped away anyway 😛
STP dropped me at SX’s after that.
i waited for SX to be homed, rested and we went to Daesco (Tesco wannabe! and it’s not shoppable at all btw) for yumcha and gossiping catching up!
Mazazu Crepe @ Daesco (Star Mega Mall)
past by this crepe stall …
and couldn’t resist ordering one … Ham & Salami & Cheese Crepe
it was a savoury crepe which is best eaten when it’s hot! it got soggy when it’s cool, not so nice. and also, it’d be better if they lessen the mayonnaise!
Easy Drink Easy Go @ Daesco (Star Mega Mall)
we paired the crepe with ↓
this green tea shaved ice thingy with various toppings, similar to Snowflake. luckily the crepe was savoury, if not it’s gonna be too jelak.
Noodle House @ Jalan Laichee 1

we tried this Rum & Cheese Mille Crepe as the others, Vanilla, Double Chocolate and Matcha, my ex-roomie SX had already tried them.
the mille crepe was lovely, it was soft and light, but unfortunately the rum flavour was missing here 🙁
SX & I! we had so muchy fun updating our lives to each other <3
and then we got home to freshen up, stay a bit at home for some light dinner. SX’s mom prepared a lovely dinner! it was my first time having this steamed yam and served with sprinkled corn flakes (?) and raisin. it’s apparently a popular dessert dish served at wedding dinner they said. and also all of us loving the Daging Masak Hitam & Umai STP bought from Bandung (not Indonesia’s!). TENKIU AGAIN STP!
Cafe- Cafe @ Jalan Chew Geok Lin
yala we sneaked out to have our final round of makan of the day!

we only ordered a dish to be shared. but boy, the portion was HUGEEEE

we ordered this cos i felt like being adventurous a bit, i never likey cincalok, that’s what i told STP earlier that day. but my roomie loved cincalok, so i thought okay lo, we gave this a try, if it’s nasty then we gonna ditch it and order another one.
the rice was meh. tasted just like ordinary fried rice, but so muchy huger in portion! with sides of salad and keropok.

and the only cincalok about it, was this condiment. which made the rice edible! 😀
but we left half of the rice portion untouched. sorry they just doesn’t worth the calorie and pound.
okay nite nite. stay tune for day 2!

Haiya!!!!! You went to Noodle House already! I thought I could squeeze some time into your tight schedule to take you there. The kampua RM2.50 a bowl – you saw the sign on the wall, remember? The pian sip also RM2.50….
Wahhhhhhhh!!!! Ate non-stop the whole day and still so small and slim. Amazing!!!!!!! Yup, CafeCafe’s cincaluk fried rice – good choice! Very nice. You should try Payung Cafe…or Payung Makhota. The food there is really different, absolutely great.

Yup, CafeCafe’s fried rice is like ordinary fried rice…it is the cincaluk dip that I like, eaten together. My own cincaluk fried rice – I put the cincaluk in while frying…and my Bintulu cincaluk, of course nicer lor…and I put a lot! Slurpssss!!!!!
suituapui recently posted..Just ain’t the same…
ya SX told me that Bintulu cincaluk and belacan are ZE BEST! wtf i didn’t know that. didn’t buy any of those throughout my four years there =.=
the cincaluk dip was surprising not nasty! quite appetizing is paired with the boring fried rice 😀

i gather the courage to weigh myself on the Day 3! and guess what i LOST WEIGHT. wtf right? it’s like all the food i ate got wasted! pfft!
i’ll definitely go to that Payung Cafe next round 😀 but prolly will be 1 – 2 years later jor 🙁

Lots of yummies! I wasn’t able to catch much local food during my recent Miri trip. Most places were somehow quite touristy.
