yay new makan place around USM makes us a bunch of happy students. seriously, what-to-mum for dinner is a nerve-wracking question. there aren’t muchy choices around, fast foods (KFC, McD, Pizza Hut), chinese zhu chao restaurant (Plus Two and Ghim Hin Restaurant which’s our all-time fav!), Bali-bali food court, Kopitan (starting to sick of it), and of course the new 43 Cafe (just few doors away, the most convenient!). of course there’s muchy more other eateries in Penang, but after a tiring day working at lab, travelling to town and get caught in jam is the last thing we wanna do.

we have been wanting to try their pizza for the longest time. the last time we pop by, it’s closed for renovation. new boss taking over, i think. so it was one tiring night when we OT-ed till 8+pm. feeling berry hungry and still struggling with where-to-mum question. suddenly LC suggested this pizza. apparently the renovation has been completed and it’s open for business again!

the interior is kind of rustic, unpolished, simple and errr bold? they are still in the midst of decorating the shop. the grand opening will be on

the work station.

 the menu. there’s wide variety pizza toppings (18 altogether!) you can choose from.

they recommended us to order this. will be enough for four of us. and so we heeded, seeing that wah can save 18 bucks, very reasonable. what to do, poor students we are, give us discounts, and we are sold. haha

drinks are not included in the set. so we ordered a jug of tea, hopefully to wash down the grease later.

Mushroom Chicken

huge chunks of chicken and mushroom scattering all over the crispy thin crust. the moment we bite into one. we have regretted. should have order thick crust! sure not enough! =.= the flavour was just okay.

Marina Island

fresh shrimp, crab sticks and pineapple cubes were the main ingredients here. i hope they added some calamari though.

we were supposed to feel full by now, but we weren’t, it’s only like 1/10 of our stomach capacity. so we ordered the same set AGAIN. two more regular pizzas with THICK crust, four garlic breads, and we requested to switch the wings with mushroom soup. the boss thought we were taking it away, haiyo so paiseh. we are girls who can really eat. i kid you not.

i love tabasco sauce on my pizza cos of its sourish taste. berry appetizing. they have a HUGE bottle for you.

Mushroom Soup

this was meh. look exactly like those from packet and tasted like one too. the powder were still coagulated. just stick with the wings, i plead. at least the wings were prepared fresh, from scratch. for homemade mushroom soup, head over to 43 Cafe.

Yankees Special

if you love preserved meat like pepperoni and ham, this’s for you. green was added too, to my disgust. sorry, capsicum and i are not really getting along well.

Tuna Delight

the safest pizza, i reckon. you can almost never go wrong ordering this. no wonder it’s  one of the supreme!

yeah we were stuffed by now. each of us had 8 slices of pizza, it’s like a regular-sized pizza holy cow! it’s because their pizza weren’t as big as Pizza Hut’s *defensive

are we going back again?yeah, if we are not too hungry. cos two regular pizzas aren’t enough for us. haha.

oh btw, if you’re too lazy to head out for makan, they deliver to your door steps too! with no additional charges!

and while we were savouring the pizza, the bossie came over and had a chat, my partners in crime so shamelessly pimped me saying i’m a food blogger and hopefully they got free meal. try harder next time bitches the drink were on the house though.
