Penang: Vogue For Virtue 2013 Charity Fashion Show @ Queensbay Mall

i was invited to attend the fashion shows themed Vogue For Virtue 2013 Charity Fashion Show together with Christer and Ken last Saturday at Queensbay Mall (aka my second home 
). Vogue For Virtue has been running for fifth year now, and this year’s objective was still the same as previous’ – continue making charity fashionable.
Vogue For Virtue is a signature Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme with the intention to help the less fortunate children, where proceeds from CapitaMalls Asia (CMA) will be channelled to the selected charitable organizations.
this year, a grand total of RM 20k had been donated equally to four charitable organizations - the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), Joblink Centre, Penang Down Syndrome Assocation and Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya.
through these contributions, CMA aims to create awareness and offers financial assistance to support the development programmes of charitable organizations that provide shelter, education and healthcare to underprivileged children with multi disabilities (Physically Disability, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Intellectually Disabled) or from dysfunctional families.
the event took place at the center atrium of Queensbay Mall. and i was actually a lil’ shy to admit that, it’s my first time got invited to a fashion show. and i truly enjoyed it!
texted the boyfie after that, telling him i can totally get used to this kinda lifestyle, you know, being invited to atas events and sipping champaign while rubbing shoulders with celebrities.
arghh one can always dream …
altogether there’s 9 brands showcasing their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, with nichii, KITSCHEN, dressing paula and FOREVER 21 (which all are wallet-friendly) during the day, and the evening session featured premium brands namely ESPRIT, G2000, SPRINGFIELD, FCUK and Uniqlo with local celebrities on the runway! you have got to scroll down to know who!

FOREVER 21 started the show with syle!
i especially adored these ankle boots! and look at the tattoo (right pic), it says 惊人 which literally means shockingly amazing!
and then moving on to the night event, the Charity Fashion Show where celebrities donned in premium brands respectively strutted down the runway! and i pimped my website on the board
celebrities that present that night, Daphne Iking, Nadia Heng, Elaine Daly, Wilson Tan OMGOMG, Serena C, Sazzy Falak, Debbie Goh, Carmen Soo, Atilia, and lat but not least, Hansen Lee OMGOMGOMG!
Serena C was the host that night. she was really petite in person!
the night commenced with the classy Jazz performance by Atilia.
