Hallo! i am currently on my Raya break! hence the inactivity on virtual world. i have got (real) life wtf. i stayed at Kaima’s at Kota Damansara for few days before heading back to Malacca. staying with Kaima means fat goof food! cos Kaiye is berry good at finding food gems.
Restoran Lan Je is his favourite makan place whenever he’s in Rawang for business meeting.
we were there at off-peak hour, still it’s packed to the brim.
Steamed Tilapia | RM 14.50 onwards
this is their signature dish! steamed tilapia drenched in soy sauce (and some other secret sauces i think) with loads finely chopped garlic, ginger, chilli padi decorated with julienne spring onion. yesh, tilapia is the only fish available here.
the fish was berry fresh. flesh remained soft, and the slightly spicy sauce really complement the flesh berry well, not too overpowering! ngam ngam hou 
if you don’t know, the fish is not meant to be shared. one per person, that’s how people enjoy the fish wholly.
we also ordered a plate of green to makan together with the fish!
i have been here few times, and their quality has always been consistent. Kaiye said the one at Kota Damansara was not so delicious though. so yeah, head down right here if you want the best steamed fish!

Tilapia seems to be a popular fish over there. Here, we can get live ones from the Batang Ai Dam, real fresh! They sell fried ones with rice at Sugar Bun – if you remember that place, Sarawak’s own fast food franchise.

i don’t really remember sugar bun, but i do remember there’s one buffet restaurant which its menu revolves around chicken! forgot the name… :/
and i am pretty bad in identifying fishes. i do know salmon though, cos the colour of the flesh is orangey hehe!

i think there are more and more Lan Je shop in town nowadays..not sure which is the best but the fish is surely fresh

Try their steamed Tilapia fish and salted deep-fried prawns, it’s really awesome!
